Welcome...
Every year, in November, the NaNoWriMo challenge kicks off. The goal is simple: write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days.
The first three years I attempted this crazy endeavour, I failed miserably; in 2002 I achieved a grand total of 7075 words before giving up or otherwise losing interest. In 2004 I barely made 1000 words before consigning my attempt to the nether realms of despair. After those three failed attempts I decided that I wouldn't even waste my time thinking about a fourth attempt -- and so, of course, come October 1, 2005, I duly signed up again.
And, thanks to an overhaul of my attitude, a change in my situation, and the encouragement of a few select friends, I hit the target and then some.
In 2006 I wrote the sequel to my first novel. And in 2007 I intend to write the third book in the trilogy.
Therefore, I present for your reading pleasure, my 2005 and 2006 NaNoWriMo novels. Please note that the files of these novels are generated from the source TXT files, and are intended to exist as standalone files; therefore they have not been integrated into the design of the rest of this site...
Alternatively, for reading offline, I have provided PDF files. These are the exact PDF files that I submitted to Lulu for printing!
